Christ Jesus the Only Son of God

Jesus Christ is our savior and he wants you to love one another.

One day, Jesus heard that he was going to die for your sins. He didn’t want to die so he ran away and hid in a field of flowers. When some animal-hunters came looking for him, he did not run away. He said it would be all right if they killed him because death wasn’t scary when you were with God.

The people who were chasing Jesus didn’t understand and kept coming closer and closer until he had no choice but to run after them. They caught him! They beat him up and stuck thorns in his head so that he would look like a person from the devil’s army, not God’s. He was swallowed by scary animals and put into a large, dark cave. Then the people who thought they were God’s soldiers rolled a big rock in front of the door and left Jesus all alone in there to die. But he didn’t.

After three days, Jesus came out of the cave! He was alive and he showed everyone that it wasn’t too late for them to change their ways, too. And he said everyone should love each other the way he loved us because God loves us so much that even though we are all sinners, Jesus still came down to earth to save us.

1 John 3:16-17 says, “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?”

Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son , that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
