Lifesaver...and I don't mean the candy!

When I was 19 years old, I gave my life to the Lord. I got saved, became heavily involved in church and ministry. Soon after, I fell in love with a young minister and we had planned to marry. Still being a babe in Christ, we fell into fornication and I became pregnant. I was thusly silenced and cut off my many of the members and leaders alike. I may have had 2 friends in that season who remembered the place that God had brought them from, and remained my friend.
But one day, I received a card in the mail from a very quiet sister. She had not talked to me much, we had no relationship outside of church but I knew she loved God. She was also the Pastor's daughter. She sent me a card that read..."Don't give up! God isn't through with you yet!"
What powerful words to read when feeling that an entire community had isolated me and turned it's back. It saved my life, because I was just about to walk away from the church and all that I had gained. Yes, she was a lifesaver for me in such a difficult season! She still has no idea how much so.
